Locals know where to go when looking for fresh meats, local produce, and Vermont cheeses: Henry’s Market!
Henry’s Market was established in 1911. Devoted customers frequented the business for decades while it was known as Salem's Market. George Salem was the original owner of the store; his son Henry later took it over. The store was renamed Henry's Market when current owner Gene Guertin purchased it from Henry in 2001.
When he first purchased the store, Gene worked alongside Henry Salem to learn how to cut meat the old fashion way. Since then, Gene has expanded the offerings from fresh meat and groceries, to smoked meats, marinated fresh meats, aged Vermont cheeses, fresh produce, homemade ready-to-eat meals, Vermont maple products and fresh baked breads and desserts.
All of our meats are cut and ground in house, using choice or higher beef. Fresh product can be purchased at our store and smoked meats and cheeses can be purchased at our store or online and shipped within the USA.
